Keep It Simple!

I mean, crazy simple! No matter which way you look you can find a new diet, new fitness regime, new supplement, new fat loss drug – we are constantly being shown new ways – but guess what – Just Keep It Simple!

I’m going to keep this blog super simple too – to just set a trend for you…

But when I think about food – I think what would our ancestors do – like years and years ago (pre garbage food!)

When I think about training (in the simplest forms) I think what would we have needed to have done to survive.

When it comes to food, we would have eaten whatever we could get out hands on (not unlike today actually, accept all the food was good for us thousands of years ago). If we were eating an animal, we would have eaten ALL of it… because we may not have got another for a while.

When we found fruits, we would’ve eaten them. We would have spent time without food because we couldn’t find it.

If you mimic this, you’d be healthier than 99% of the population – simple!

To survive – we would have needed to run, jump, carry things, fight, climb etc. Do these things regularly and you’ll be fitter than 99% of the population – simple!

If you only have 1 minute to train – drop to the floor and stand up as many times as possible

If you have 5 minutes – sit down into a squat, stand up keep doing that. When your legs get tired, turn around and do push ups then back to squats

If you have 10 minutes – pick 4 exercises and rotate through them; work for 20s on one exercise then rest 10s and change the exercise for the next 20s

If you have 20 minutes – go outside, run for 60s then do 10 lunges, run for another 60s then do 10 push ups – repeat

If you have an hour – come to Defy. We do the simple stuff, over and over in different combinations to make it more fun and we have good people to share the journey with!
